Nick Parry ‘cello Nick Parry

Nick Parry was born in Suffolk. He studied ‘cello and composition at the Royal Academy of Music and has worked since as a teacher in London, as a piano tuner in Hertfordshire and as an orchestral, chamber and session cellist, and teacher in Bristol and Bath, before moving back to Suffolk with his family in 2000.

He teaches ‘cello and bass at Culford School, Bury St Edmunds and plays with various Suffolk Ensembles. Current projects include Music for 10 Strings, a ‘cello/guitar duo with Mr. Nigel Tuffs.

He has a particular interest in improvising, recording and electronic music and runs a small home studio cellotapes
